  • It all depends on your insurance. Some insurance plans cover counseling under certain circumstances for a certain number of visits. Sometimes your company will have an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) that may/may not cover a number of visits. Most EAPs do not cover marriage counseling, but are only for acute circumstances that are outside a person's control like grief, depression...

  • No it's not usually. It's an elective, which is like getting breast implants. It is not a medical emergency or neccessity, so most (or all) insurances won't cover it.

  • Not with ours, but since Obamacare came around our insurance isn't worth much. I would call your company and find out from them.

  • Depends on the insurance. You can call the # on the back of the card and they will be able to tell you for sure. Couples counselling is normally covered if you have any sort of psychiatric coverage. If it isn't covered talk to your doctor there are normally many places that do their services based on income. Also if you are part of a church the church might help cover the cost of a Christian counselor. Hope that helps and good luck!
