  • You know I am, since we've talked about it before...gotta say, I'm not thrilled that they're making it into a movie or tv series or whatever. Then people who don't actually read the books see it and don't understand the magic in the writing. They don't understand what they're missing. And I am almost always disappointed with the way books translate to the screen and a little bit of my love for the story just dies when I see the on-screen cheese.

  • I'm curious to see how they're going to do. I'm really hoping they don't chop bits and pieces out of several books and just throw them together.

  • Let's get pookipoo, butterflyblue! :-)

Pookipoo, the first one and the sixth one were my least favorites, but even they weren't bad. The series as a whole is wonderful. In the thousands and thousands of pages it took to create all 7 books, there's just bound to be a few slow parts. If this type of fiction isn't your thing, then so be it. But if it is, then boo to the naysayers--just read it!

  • I'm still weirded out by Ron Howard directing the 1st one. I was hoping for Frank Darabont
