  • I don't think there's anything wrong with either. Usually if someone has a problem it usually has something to do with the question or answer being not quite as considerate as it could be. People don't usually mind questions or answers in and of themselves. So ask and answer away! :)

  • both are appropriate but if conversation is what you are looking for you may want to try groups, this section is supposedly about advice.
