  • Depending on her illness, I'd ask her doctor and then I would tell her if he says we can. I think moms feel things that happen with their kids, even or especially at that age.

  • If she's on her death bed, or if the news would kill her, I'd have to think about it personally. She SHOULD know, but in her circumstance, it wouldn't help anything. If she's got several more years of life ahead, then maybe she should know.

  • She deserves to know about her own child. Nobody should ever die believing something that isn't true, especially when it comes to their family member dying. What if she asks to see her son and he never comes? She's going to think he doesn't care .. would you rather her believe he doesn't care or her know the truth? I think this one is a no brainer .. you need to tell her.
