Will energy ever really be self sustainable?

Like when the day comes when all the energy will be totally revewable, like if we have used the landfills only to run factories from retired cardboard, paper, and methane gas that leaches upward through grids systems. etc.

  • I think it can happen, most of the technology is there. The problem is that it is so expensive. I'm going to guess that in 50 years or so, we will have found/implemented affordable renewable energy sources.
