there's a blood stain on one of my favorite pairs of pants

they're gray. kind of professional looking slack pants. there's a blood stain in the crotch and it's actually a pretty big stain. i washed them when it happened "over a year ago when i last wore them and it looked like it came out. well i went through pregnancy, delivery, and weight loss so i pulled them out to try them on again and the stain is still there but it looks yellow in the grey. so there is a huge yellow stain in the crotch that's been there over a year. can i possibly get it out????

  • Hydrogen Peroxide is your best bet - it won't bleach the color out. Honestly though, after this amount of time I don't know that it's going to come out.

  • I think your pants are toast. In the future never do anything with blood stains except cold water until you can get peroxide on it. Peroxide will take out fresh blood and leave no stain at all. The minute you let warm or hot water touch the stain the heat set the protein.

  • Hydrogen Peroxide. It's what Son uses if he didn't most of his EMT uniforms would be ruined.
