What desserts do you give your kids so they can have a treat yet still eat healthy?

We like frozen fruit juice pops, skim milk puddings, and jello.

  • aside from stuff listed already, banana squishes - 1 banana, 1-2T honey and cinnamon (go by sight and how big the banana is). Heat it over low heat in a sauce pan or microwave it for a minute if you don't mind using one. When it's done, the banana will be really soft - about banana bread stage - mix it together and it's about the consistency of pudding.

  • As far as "healthy snacks goes, my son likes tapioca pudding, fruit snacks (questionable on how "healthy" they are I know), and frozen berries (sometimes).

  • I just keep a variety of fruit around. Bananas go FAST in my house, as long as they are bright yellow or even slightly green. As soon as they get the first freckle, they belong to MAMA!

  • 100% Fruit Bars, like popsicles but better in all aspects. Also, homemade smoothies. I make THE best smoothies, my Son AND my Husband can't get enough of them.
