What kind of snack can I pack for kids that don't cost an arm & leg for trip?

  • I mix up a big batch of homemade trail mix. I throw in dry cereal, raisins, chocolate chips and nuts or whatever else I have in the cupboard. Apples are great in the car too. We just throw the core out the window when we are done.

  • If you take a cooler you can carry grapes and cheese cubes.
