  • I believe in NY it is the same as federal - only if your bills are over a certain amount is it worthwhile to itemize. Otherwise, you should just take the standard deduction.

  • Ok thanks. I know someone mentioned it in a group and I didn't know if you could. I have all the bills from my c-section so I didn't know if I should get them together to write off what I paid or not.Thanks

  • The 2nd poster is correct, but that's only if you itemize your taxes.
