stir-fry

so last night, i ate some thai food for the first time. a garlic stir-fry and it was AWESOME!!!

i love stir-fry's! i want to cook them more but never know what sauces to use. but i just love all the veggies & rice. its healthy too and i know my kids would eat it.

any suggestions on what different sauces to use for different stir-fry dishes? i know soy sauce is common in beef stir-fry's. what about chicken?

TIA!

  • I use Oyster sauce! it is SO good, i marinate my steaks in it too!

I will slice steak, brown it, add my veggies, then oyster sauce.
Or you could use teriyaki paste!

Here's a bunch of stir fry sauce recipes.  I always make sure to read at least some of the reviews.  They usually contain good advice.  Enjoy!

  • Fish sauce will be a key element. Just start experimenting. Go to an International Market and pick up a few things that look interesting or ask around the store for what people do.

  • If you like spicy foods, try the Kung Pao sauce, it's awesome!
