  • my kids play soccer and swim. Swimming is a great activity although if you don't have a place to swim then I would say look into a gym or the YMCA. I know that they have great activities and classes for kids at the Y.

    Good Luck

  • School sports are great. You can also check out your local YMCA, they have great things to keep kids active. They also have clinics on kids health. You can call your local YMCA and talk to them about a membership, they even have discounts for families that are low income, which is nice.

  • I agree with Steph!! Organized sports is the way to go! A good coach will teach cross-training exercises to help supplement the skills and drills that are sport related. You don't have to be a varsity athlete to participate, just make a commitment to do something you enjoy and that you are interested in! :o)
