Have you been a candidate for LASIK only to back out at the last minute because you were too scared?

  • My husband made me do it. I probably would have bolted out the door if he hadn't. He was like "Julie, we have been talking about this for years. If you don't do it, you know you will regret it." They gave me Valium and Xanax, but it did nothing and I was bouncing off the walls. At one point, my doctor stopped what he was doing, right at the beginning when he was trying to put the suction on my eyeball, and said that I would need to stop vibrating the table. That's how badly I was shaking, LOL. In the end though, it was SO EASY. I felt a little silly for flipping out so much.

  • No, but if you are nervous you can ask for a Valium to calm you down.
