does this soun like a misscarage?(spelling?)

when i was pregnant with my 2nd child. i had extrem cramping, enough to put me in the fetal position, there was bleeding like a period that lasted for a few days, few days later i got BFP via home test, went to the dr and i had a viable baby in utero.

is it possible there was another baby in there with him and it misscarried?

  • Yes,it is very possible. The other twin would absorb the one that died.

  • I would think it's possible, but it seems like it could have been something else too, like a cyst that burst for examples.

  • I agree it could have been a cyst. I had that kind of pain in my first pregnancy and they discovered it was just a cyst bursting.

  • I am going thru that as week speak. I had spotting and cramping and went to er at that time the fetal sac was 5w2d and went to doctor a week later and there were 2 sacs one baby measured 6w2d and the other sac was empty. They said they dont expect this pregnancy to end up twins. i go back on Feb. 8 to see for sure. Good luck to you.
