Anyone from Pennsylvania? or living there?

My hubby is getting a job there and i was wondering what its like there? is it busy there ? is there country life there? We'll be living in brookville? is there any fun to do in penn? how far is it from new york city ? anyways any comments are welcome :)

  • It looks like a rural area northeast of Pittsburgh. Brookville has a website but it is being updated. So Google it in another week or so. GL!

  • I live in Lancaster, which is south eastern PA. We are about 4 hours from NYC, but if you are close to Pittsburgh, then it would be further. It takes about 6 hours to drive from one end of PA to the other. PA is hard to describe, because you have 2 major cities, many smaller cities, and quite a bit of diversity. There is a lot of farm land in the middle, mountains, etc. The cities have plenty to do, and many smaller towns do too. There are also lots of places that have nothing to do! Lancaster county is nice, because we are 90 minutes from Philly and Baltimore, 3 hours from Washington DC, 4 from NYC, and it's a big enough city with stuff to do and then a few minutes outside the city is farmland and Amish country. MOST of PA is quite conservative, just to warn you.
