  • I'm in Los Angeles....the zoo, Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific, Knott's Berry Farm, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Go to see a movie at the El Capitan Theater, in Hollywood, they show the movie, plus have a performance by live characters, it's a great experience, take a harbor cruise either in Newport, or in Long Beach by Shoreline Village (also by the aquarium) and the Queen Mary is right there as well. Don't leave out the beach!!! The museums in Los Angeles are amazing, go to the La Brea tarpits in Los Angeles, and the museum of Natural History, there is also a hands on museum for younger kids in that same area. The Banning museum in Wilmington is a beautiful old home with an old school house and carriage house that are really cool, and there is an old Drum Barracks Museum right down the street from that. At Cabrillo Marine Museum in San Pedro has touch tanks, and don't forget the tide pools.....I could keep going, but ..

  • If your in southern CA go to Balboa island. They have alot of museums, parks etc. Sea World is also near by there. You can also do the beach obviously. Disneyland is there too if you want to go that route.

  • Where in CA? It's a big state! Each area has something different to offer. The weather's been fantastic, so lots of hiking is great.

  • Alright, I'll keep going.... visit one of the many amazing missions here in southern California, rent a peddle boat in Long Beach...I'm sure there are other places too, Shoreline Village in Long Beach has a carousel, arcade, boat rentals, harbor cruises, a fun theater with live family type shows, and lots of food, plus it's near a lot of other things.

check and see if there are any street fairs going on in the area you will be in. See if you can get tickets to see any of your kids favorite tv shows being taped live.

I may think of more, but this should give you some ideas.....most of all, have fun!
