Sunglasses or No Sunglasses?

My eyes are so sensitive to light that I have to wear them all the time when I'm outdoors, in fact, I need them more on a cloudy day more so than a sunny day.

  • I almost ALWAYS wear sunglasses outside. It started more to protect the skin around my eyes from sun damage & squinting (trying to avoid so many wrinkles when I'm older!) but now I can't hardly go w/o them because everything seems so bright.

Here's a good little article called "Five Reasons You Should Wear Sunglasses"

  • You made me think of the song: "I wear my sunglasses at night. Whatever you need to do to help with your vision should be done!

  • I understand what you mean about having to wear them even on cloudy days! I remember as a kid, we never even thought about wearing sunglasses! Now, I keep a spare pair in the car in case I forget or lose my favorite ones.

  • I wear contacts and I have to wear sunglasses outdoors regardless. The glare form the clouds can be just as bothersome as bright sunlight\.

  • I have sensitive eyes too. my doctor told me people with blue eyes should always wear them outside. u can get damage if you don't . he didnt mention other colors but that could be because i have blues eyes so why bring up other colors.

  • Dianakk ... mine are blue. I wonder if that's why mine have gotten more sensitive as I have gotten older.
