What would you have for dinner, if it was just you, by yourself?

I am cooking a ham with some potatoes and corn. It's simple but my family fortunately likes simple.
If I had my way it would be escargot, followed by a salad w/ blue cheese dressing then a nice bowl of clam chowder!
My family dislikes this type of food, but I love it.

  • Ok, check me out, The tri tips where on sale so I cooked a whole one, just for me! lol. No I cant eat the whole thing but I figured we could get leftovers out of it. Where am I going to get fast food that costs what that tri tip cost and taste half as good! Also got Uncle Bens micro brown rice, didnt want to cook on the stove. Hmm, now what shall I have for desert?

  • If I had to cook just for myself I probably skip the meal or drink a protein drink, but I know what you mean......

  • If I'm the only one home I don't even cook, for me there's no point. So, if I were living alone I would probably live on sandwiches and Ramen noodles at home.

  • I was thinking much simpler, if it's just me- I'd just zap a Lein Cuisine Seasame Chicken. But for an actual meal, I'd always pick fish, b/c hubby hates the smell/taste of fish, so I rarely get it.

  • Well, it depends on whether or not I was the one cooking it, lol. I love escargot too, but there's no way I'll prepare that myself. I would even know where to get them. If I was cooking for myself only, I'd probably end up making some soup and a salad. :)
