Do babies taste milk/medicine through there NG tube?

  • They don't "taste" really anything.
    They only gain nutrients from it...that being said they can also feel/be affected by alcohol and/or other medicines.
    That's why Pg women need to be so cautious.

  • Taste buds are in the mouth; when babies are fed with an NG tube, nothing goes into their mouths.

  • Nope. And I sorta know from experience. I had a feeding tube when I was 15, but it went directly in my stomach, and I did not taste anything. Same concept, different methods of applying it.
