Can I get my breatmilk back if I stop smoking?

Because I fell as if smoking has made me not produce as much milk

  • well has it completely dried up, or are you just not producing enough? i'm not sure if smoking does decrease production, but you could increase the frequency of nursing and that will help get your supply up. of course quitting won't hurt though! gl

  • cigs dont cause less milk production but studies have shown it can reduce the fat supply! best way to increase milk production is to nurse when your baby is hungry and increase your calorie intake by eating many small healthy meals throughout the day. Also drink a lot of water. Do try to cut down on smoking if you can!
