What is your take on the phrase " Offenders Never Pardon " ?

do you think that it's generally true?

  • It depends on if they actually feel guilty about what they did.

  • Often it is true because people who repeatedly "brake the rules" are often narcissistic and are just worried about how they are effected in the situation.  They lack enough empathy and compassion for other people.

  • I think its true. I have a friend who, while he was married, had numerous one night stands. He lost his wife over it. Now he has been in a relationship for ten years, and again has not stopped having one night stands. His current SO knows of some and is very forgiving. However if you offend him, forget it. He didn't speak to his mother for almost 5 years over something she "did" to him.

  • No, I don't completly. Just because one person can't seem to get it right, doesn't mean that others haven't. That would be genaralizing.

  • I think "never" is an absolute and I believe people can change. For many, I'd say it's true.
