says federal taxes have been directdeposited 1-28-2011 and if not in there by 02-02-11 to call bank.theyre not in there yet does this mean they took them for something?

  • Or it means your bank is holding it until it clear completely. Call your bank first and see why it isnt in there. If they say it hasnt been received then call the IRS. Even if they took some out of it you would get the remainder. My friend got hers Friday and they did take half of it for student loans she didnt know her husband even had. But she got the other half Friday.

  • It would still show the amount in your account even if the bank is holding them for clearence. Call the bank, as you were directed to do, and ask them about it. You can also call the IRS office if the bank isn't sure.

  • Call the bank in two days, if the money has not been deposited; not all banks show "funds in transit"
