A Couples' Night out ? Love Rules for Dummies

What is an acceptable behaviour for couples on a night out with friends ?
Do your guys mainly talk with their buddies, and you ladies speak with the other ladies ?
Do you have physical contact with your spouses, or you just hang out and socialize with other people ?

  • That's a hard question, it depends on the couple. When hub and I go out with friends, it's all the above. I hang out with my girls and hub with the guys, then we find eachother and stay that way for a while. It just depends. there is no point in going out with another couple if you aren't going to socialize them.

  • We always socialize together. We stay as couples, but the guys talk, and the girls talk. But SO is always by my side.

  • We alternate between a couples night out just us and with friends.

    If we are with friends, we are usually talking to the other people but at the same table. We don't do the whole bar socialization thing where you go in and split up. We are usually at a table with whomever we went to meet up with. If we get to talking with someone not at the table, it's usually on the way to the bathroom or bar for a drink but we keep it short or encourage them to join us at the table.
    We are out as a couple not as singles so if we didn't want to spend time with each other, we would have went out seperately.

    Physical contact is a big thing with us...we are always holding hands, touching the other person, or giving kisses.
