What are some simple inexpensive reception decor for tables?

I am dong a wedding and need to come up with some reception decorations for the tables. I already have maroon table cloths with champagne runners. But the bride thought that the table could use a little more. I thought about mirrors, and floating candles along with some marbles or petals.

Do you have any ideas? What did you do? I have googled and havent come up with much

  • We had floating candles with marbles at the bottom of the containers. Another thing we did was Magnolias on the tables.

  • Mirrors will add some shine. Candles will add softness. I think you are doing great!!!
What about some stencils of the bride and grooms initials painted on the runner? Or paint the words "I do."
Sachets or rice, not rice, but seeds in baskets.

  • all in all, a few flowers, short vases, and votives..pretty simple, yet elegant, and cheap. you can always use various sized glasses or vases (plain) for a grouping of flowers.
