Looking for something different....

Is there anyone wout there with a newer company that does not have monthly quotas and selling high quality products the do not cost an arm and leg??? I live in a small town so money is an issue there with most of the people...

I just not like he quotas b/c i feel pressured because there are some slow months with the economy in my area.... I have been with mela, AP, candle company, and the well not costmetic companies... They just are not for me...

Thanks Ladies....

  • Why do you still want to do sales? Have you thought about looking into a service type of position?

  • If you can work outside your home, I would look into getting a local town job. Excellent benefits, retirement and vacation leave plus your are guaranteed a check no matter what. I worked for the Sheriffs Dept for 13 years! I have a retirement. Also if you ever leave & decide to go back, you start at the same pay grade as when you left.

  • Try your local Postal service, cable company, Fire Dept. or Police station. Maybe they need civilian help; dispatcher, filing, typing, answering phones, or running errands. Or maybe a daycare facility. That can be very rewarding. Maybe you can start your own daycare. Check into the City or County regulations.

  • Do you have a former employer you could work for remotely?
You can search for jobs that match you skill set and have a telecommute option.
If you have a computer with high speed internet & Microsoft Office Pro & have at least intermediate MS Office skills, you should be able to find work as a virtual assistant (VA). For more information, go to www.ivaa.org, www.iavoa.com, www.vanetworking.com ..
Do you have a skill or experience that you can turn into a home based business? I have a friend who makes children's hair accessories in her basement & sells them to boutiques around the Midwest. My husband runs a handyman business from our home. I work from home with two lines of business; I do freelance bookkeeping & business organization (along with medical billing), I also do career and job search coaching.

  • I take it that you are talking about work at home positions or direct sales. I just finished reading a business book, which dedicated an entire chapter to scams. One of them is going with a direct sales company that is less than 5 years old because you don't know whether they are a stable company or not. I suggest you take a look at the Direct Sales Association's website before deciding on a company.
