  • Make sure her belly is full before she goes to sleep and do not run in there the first time you hear her cry. If you do go in just pat her back and say Shh Shh Shh....

  • If she is still a newborn or only a few months old try swaddling her w/ the blanket like they do in the hospital so that she feels cozy and warm. Also, make sure she isn't wet, poopy, or hungry. If you can't find anything to work then call your pediatrician to make sure that nothing is wrong and to see if they have any suggestions.

  • Swaddling is a GREAT thing. It could also be reflux--does she spit up a lot, too? Where DOES she sleep? Does she fall asleep in her car seat? If she does, don't be afraid to strap her in her car seat at night and see if that slightly elevated position doesn't help.
I'm not a fan of crying it out, especially with itty bitties. Hold her. Let her sleep with you. Rock her, sing to her, let her know you're there for her.

  • ditto what everyone else has said...plus you might try Mylacon...it could be gas that is upsetting her....
you might also try a sling to help woo her off to sleep....works wonders for some little ones...

  • check the nipples on the bottles to make sure they are open enough sometimes they can close up. other suggestion is to play soft music in the room.. or get a vibrating bassinet
