why is my child sensitive to textures

my child is very sensitive to touching things. Any comments

  • He is 10 months old now, so since about 6-7 months of age, when he first started to pick up and touch things on his own. and he usually uses his pointer finger to touch things first. we had quite a time to even get him to touch the gerber graduates and even longer to put them in his mouth.

  • Their skin itself is probably sensitive and certain textures irritates the skin.
