strange post pregnancy question..... adult content

I had my son 4 months ago. I was unable to breast feed so my milk dried up pretty fast. At my 6 week appointment I had the Mirena birth control inserted....I have yet to stop bleed from when I had my baby. Today I was leaned over the crib changing my son's diaper and my breast started leaking!!!! has any one heard of this being a side effect of the birth control? I am so weirded out! Any thoughts? I called my doctor today, but he didn't call me back.

  • I don't know about the BC, but I leaked for a long time after I had mostly dried up. Boobs are so weird, lol.

  • I dont think its anything to worry about, but still try reaching your doctor. being close to your baby will make your breast leak. I breastfed my son for 2 months but had to stop, they dryed for weeks and then suddently started again.. with my daughter I breasfed for almost 4 years and every time she would get hungry i would leak.

  • I heard that after having kids, you can continue to lactate. Forever! I had my dd 17 months ago, due to problems I couldn't BF so it's been about 16 months, and I still leak from time to time. My dr. Said it's common.

  • The leaking breast I think is pretty normal, but I would talk to your Dr. about the mirena/bleeding. 4 months is excessive for being postpartum.
