  • Actually we were just discussing this on Sunday. Yes, I would probably buy them a cheaper version though.

  • We got our almost 3 year old an iPod touch for Christmas. He has flash cards on it, puzzles, coloring activities, movies, he can watch Netflix.... The possibilities are endless for educational use on it.

  • No. Where will it end then? I'm sorry, vote me down but I think it's crazy. Can't kids just enjoy toys, sports, outdoors and time with friends? He's turning 5? No.

  • I handed one of my old ones down. I needed more GBs and what was I going to do with the old one? I'm completely in charge of what gets synced to it, so there's nothing to worry about there.

I wouldnt get my 5 year old either, there are so many REAL toys out there they should be playing with, balls, hockey sticks, skipping ropes, bikes, scoooters...if get them an ipod when they are 5, what are they going to want/be happy with by the time they are 9 or 10?????

  • Me? no. My husband? yes. he bought our daugter an ipod and she is 4 years old, needless to say I have it in my purse and she uses it when we are in the car, waiting room, etc... it entertains her and im ok with that :) watch the volume though.. be sure to set it low and lock it.
