  • Depends on their age. My 5 yr old (will be 6 on Vday) will get her normal cards for class and a party obviously for their class. I will get her fresh flowers for her bedroom. My oldest dd is 22 and Ill send her fresh cut flowers. My sons 10, 17 & 18 will probably get some candy. I get them all cards too.

  • When they were young they usually got a new book or movie, and a small heart shaped box of chocolates.

They're all grown now, so this year we're getting them each 2 movie tickets and a box of chocolates

  • I always buy or make a card for each of my kids. I add a small gift, usually something in the $5 or less category. Last year I picked up stick horses (2 for $10) for my twins and gave my teen a 4 pack of Starbuck's Frappuccino drinks.  I avoid stuffed animals because we already have way too many of those.

The little ones will take valentine's cards with small treats (probably fruit roll-ups) taped on for their friends.  I usually send cards and chocolate for their teachers, but this year I know they are doing a "biggest loser" contest so I'm thinking hand lotion....or maybe a veggie tray for all of them to share.
