Many AA's state that the "man" holds them down. But as a Christian, and with God in your corner, can anyone truly hold you down?

  • Given what happened to Jesus - the whole torture and crucifixion thing - I don't think "having God on our side" has anything to do with our mortal bodies or removing the free will of other humans who wish to do us harm.

  • fiatpax - I am going to pray for you! I have a 13 yo with autism and I remember those days of railing at God, when my son was pitching tantrums and screaming and had been awake all night.
