  • The amount wont change but like Mommy2B04 says the state can take the child support after you are no longer needing the food stamps until u have paid the state back. They did this to my mom

  • in ohio they do not make you pay back food stamps but they will take your child support while you get cash and if he is not paying and they ever take his income tax the state will get what they paid you and than you get the difference if any

  • k.well i would recommend getting a wage with holding on his check if he has a job and beings your on state assistance they should have already done that for you.how ever i would recommend talking to your case worker or "team" and finding out if its an "inforceable" case.if so then i would do a wage withholding. and if you added that income to your paperwork there should be no problems at all...

  • The food/cash assistance will come on time monthly and probably won't be touched. The child support in your case will probably go through the state bcse office and they will take thier share from the cs first than anything over that amount will go to you. So your better off letting the state deal with it in your case becuase he isn't paying on time consistantly.
In one case I know of mom receives food/cash assistance when dad pays or when the money is taken from his taxes she still gets a check just not for as much. I think but not 100% sure she said the state takes 25% of her child support.
