Best way to cook a steak?

What's the best way to cook a steak indoors? It's not really grilling season. Any ideas?

  • either oven-baked in a broiler pan or in a skillet. i live in an apartment and no grills allowed so whenever i make steaks i do it on the skillet. we like ours medium rare so there's not much cooking involved, just a few minutes on each side and voila!

  • We still grill outside. Even if it is 10 degrees out side and snow on the ground. But indoors George forman grill all the way.

  • On the grill...even when theres snow on our deck, we can still get to our grill, yummy!

  • Pan fry or the foreman grill... of coarse I would be out on teh regular grill even if it is cold lol

  • I have a cast iron griddle for the stove....but what I do is hammer the heck out of it until it is tender, put a little butter and oil in the pan and cook it, add a little salt and pepper while cooking...and viola...steak... :)

  • Get a skillet hot-cast iron on another heavy skillet is best, coat steak with a little oil, forgot to say let steak come to room temp-about 30 minutes, then sear on each side and stick in a preheated 375 oven to continue cooking to the temp you like.
