  • I switched my daughter to the bigger seat when she was about 6 1/2 months... She's a big baby though

  • Nope. I never ever even used one of those carrier seats. I always just used a convertible car seat, and Britax is our favored brand of car seat.

  • My first went into the convertible care seat (rear facing of course) at 5 months. He wasn't chubby but he was very long. DD didn't need one until she was 18 months.

  • as soon as she reaches the lowest weight limit on the new carseat she can switch. but it would have to still be rear facing until the baby is 1 years old.

  • where i live you cant take them out of a rear facing carseat until they are 12 months and 20 lbs

  • You can go ahead and move to a convertible, provided you continue to RF to at LEAST 12 mos and 20 lbs, but preferably longer.
