HEY LADIES!!! Is there any such thing as erasing/avoiding stretch marks?

I'm almost 8mons pregnant with my 2nd child right now. I thought in my first pregnancy I would get away with not forming any stretch marks but unfortunately I formed a few around my belly button in the last month and Im VERY self-concious of them. Right now I'm worried I will form more or stretch the ones I have even more (if thats even possible) because i weigh more now than i did than my 1st pregnancy towards the end. Is there anything i can do to avoid forming more, over strecthing & to fade/erase the ones I already have???

  • IMO keeping your skin hydrated helps, but it doesn't really prevent stretch marks. Still looking for something to get rid of the ones I have. I got lucky though, all my stretch marks are on my butt.

  • With my 1st and only pregnancy, This lady told me,whatever you do,always use baby oil. You wont have any stretch marks and it keeps your skin hydrated. It smells good and it keeps your skin soft. Believe me,baby oil is your answer, every time you take a shower or bath.BABY OIL!

  • stretch marks are genetic and can be "erased" completely by getting a tummy tuck...that usually takes care of most of them...there may be creams that will lighten them, etc....but you can't ever get rid of them

  • Use straight vitamin E oil. Can be found at walmart

  • I dont think you can prevent them but I'm attempting to by using palmers stretch mark cream every night..also b/c pregnant bellies get so itchy so you have to use moisterizer anyways.

  • BioOil lightened mine to where they are barely noticeable, but they weren't very deep to begin with.

  • No matter what your read, the answer is NO. You can always try, but it's just luck I think.
