Is it true that stretching is more effective than exercise in losing weight?

  • No, exercising cues the body to make more fat burning enzymes. muscle is also built, which triggers fat burning enzymes

  • No. Stretching is a good componant before you do any heavy cardio, but you NEED cardio the most. You need to keep your heartrate elevated for at least 30 minutes per workout in order to burn the fat off. Stretching helps loosen your mucles up before, and it's also a very good idea to stretch afterwards as well.
