Cabbage roll casserole?

Can you make these ahead of time and freeze them, I am worried that the rice may become gummy, once you thaw and cook it. Thank You

  • Are you doing just a rice filling, or a rice/meat mixture? I've frozen cabbage rolls with a rice/meat mixture, and they've been OK.

  • I would partially cook it before freezing. Then finish cooking after defrosting.

  • You can absolutely freeze them.

I have an awesome slowcooker version; send me a message if you would like the recipe
