  • I always take something. If I didn't like to cook I'd offer to take drinks, chips, a couple of pizzas, but I do like to cook, so I'm taking a pile of baby burritos and dipping sauces.

  • Always take something, even when I am told not to. I find it rude not to.

  • I never show up empty handed, besides I am the queen of the dips and chips. I would probably bring hot artichoke crab dip.

  • One of the rules of etiquette is to "never arrive empty handed!" I feel awkward going to a party--even a friend's house without SOMETHING! :o)

  • I agree that it is rude to show up empty handed. Buy some Tyson chicken wings (cook them) and take ranch dressing to go with them. If you don't want to cook buy croussants, cheese and stuff them with deli meats and take them. The key is to have it made before you go!
