Do you believe in Groundhog Day?

I mean really. Spring comes when it comes. It is the same day on the calendar every year. I have just never understood the whole Groundhog Day to begin with.

  • It doesn't mean anything. Whether he sees his shadow or not, there is still 6 weeks until it begins to warm. No shadow 6 weeks until spring; shadow 6 more weeks of winter........same thing. There are 6 weeks before the season begins to change. Just semantics!

  • i just think it's something to break up the monotomy of winter. I guess people who thought it up were bored or needed something fun for the local paper or news.
