  • No, my parents couldn't afford them. I got them when I was 24, and when I had my first child at 27 I still had them.

  • No, I didn't but I should have had them. Have thought of getting as an adult but didn't seem that big a deal, though my teeth aren't exactly lined up. My kids endodontist said he would suggest braces for me if I were younger. I am lots older now as my kids are in their 40's and it would have been better had i had them when i was young. it was something my parents wouldn't have been able to afford or because my dad was a gambler, wouldn't have done. One of my kids had braces but the other had a good bite though she could have had braces for cosmetic purposes but was not a big deal. My son's kids have braces. My daughter's do not but her husband had smaller teeth and gaps and the kids inherited the gaps. My teeth are large and my mouth small. Dentist said he'd swear I didn't have a big mouth- in case my husband accused me of it. LOL
