Ok trying to cut back on money so gonna switch to a cheaper diaper

My son is almost 2 and he still isnt ready for potty training yet. So he wears a size 5 in diapers and he usually wears huggies or pampers. But in that size there getting to be so expensive and so less diapers. But ive been looking at maybe trying luvs, up&up (target brand), or parents choice (walmart). Any moms got some info on these diapers. My son does have sensitive skin he can only be washed in aveeno and i have to be constantly changing cause one poopy diaper left on too long turns into a major diaper rash. I dont have to use to the senstive diapers on him just have to change him alot. And now that he is in a 5 i get the less diapers and am going through diapers like crazy..

  • We love Luvs and Up and Up. I would try both sometimes one works for one little one and not another. I greatly disliked Walmart's generic brand.

  • I tried the Walmart brand... then aren't worth it. I used more diapers and it ended up costing more on the long run.

  • my kids have really sensitive skin too (they have a skin condition that friction causes blistering) be VERY CAREFUL with LUVS and the UP AND UP! Colin's WHOLE butt was one raw mess... took the skin right off! JMO but it might be a better idea to skimp on other things and stick with the diapers you know work for your son. Its what we had to do! GL

  • I switched from Pampers to parents choice because Pampers were getting too expensive for me as well. I have no complains about parents choice. To me they feel just like Pampers baby dry diapers. Good luck in your decision.

  • Well i bought a box of luvs this weekend so were gonna try thoughs. But I opened them today and they smell real perfumy i dont know how his bottom will handle that but we will find out. Next i will try up&up. And than i have another problem he still has to wear an overnight diaper (huggies) cause he pee's alot through the night so i dont mind buying them considering he only wears them once a night.

  • Luvs or Up & Up are great. I think the Parents Choice brand is crap.
