ever mean to you? I've been married 28 years and my dh has never been mean to me. I can't say the same for my first 2 husbands.

  • No.

During our 25 years of marriage. Even when he was drinking and our marriage was in the toilet. He was never/or has been intentionally mean to me, he never has acted towards me with malice..

I on the other hand. I was more than Mean to him back during those days. He may have had a drunken one night stand (nearly 17yrs ago). I however, was emotionally and verbally (if I'm going to be honest with myself) towards him. In the long run. Was one really any better or worse than the other in terms of damage caused/feelings hurt.

  • Mean? Yes, but as a sensitive person to begin w/ I have learned that with heated arguments comes heated words that were better left unsaid, but yet - said in has he been mean? yes, but did he do it on purpose? Probably not.

  • Yeah, he can be nasty sometimes, but I can too.

Answer by LadybugTash at 2:53 PM on Feb. 3, 2011

  • No. He would never knowingly hurt my feelings in any way.

  • Yes, he is sometimes. When we argue it seems like he just tries to say the most hurtful things he can think of. Not healthy at all.

  • Yea sometimes I call it man pms... but I get my words in as well... I dont think that helps much but makes me feel better

  • Unlike some, I'll be honest. He has had His moments, just like I've had mine. We're only human. *shrug* It's not like those moments make Him a bad Husband, especially because He is THE best and there is no better.
