  • I get a few, probably because they don't like me, but I could care less.

  • I get my share.

I have no idea why I get them. I don't care enough about them to wonder "why" I was given one.

  • I get a few but it's not a big deal. Unless it is a stupid reason, then my first thought is WTF?

  • Yes, sometimes. As far as I know, I don't have any sworn enemies here, so when I get them I assume it's because someone didn't like my opinion on that specific topic, or I didn't tell them what they wanted to hear (had one of those earlier today). It's all good.

  • I get some every now and then. Don't know if it is due to because they don't like me or what. Don't really care either way.

  • I don't get them too often but when I do it's usually something silly and I think "really you voted me down for that?"

  • Define "a lot". I post in politics and RD, they go with the section.

  • I get them here and there. Probably because I didn't agree with them.

  • Mostly in P&CE, and occasionally in RD. I'm not sure if I've gotten any in other sections. I haven't noticed them if I have. I never personally attack people, so it's probably either that some people down vote anything they disagree with or maybe they've decided they don't like me. It doesn't really matter either way, but I have tried to figure out 'why' when I thought I had similar answers to others and I was one of the only few who were voted down. I tend to reserve down votes for very rude comments and personal attacks on others--and even then I don't always use them. I normally have down votes left at the end of each day. I usually respond to people instead. Some people just like to down vote, but it's pretty much meaningless. Actually if someone wasn't rude and got down voted, I often vote them UP (either because I would have anyway or sometimes only because the unnecessary down vote drew my attention to it).
