  • I think children that age should be taught how to act and not act and less attention paid to discipline.

  • just time outs and redoing what they did wrong like shutting the door they slammed, pick up toys they threw, learning manners, go back and walk when they run. Also "I am not doing (whatever) until you get quiet"...they may lose a fun game or craft or book I was going to read.""

  • It's so strange because time outs usually do not work for my son. I usually just have him correct his behavior or look him in the eye and tell him what he did wrong and why. That usually makes him cry, apologize, and most of the time that is it.
