You can get beef or pork it doesnt matter. I like to put a little stock in there, some water too if you're slow cooking. If you like any seasonings like garlic, onion, italian seasoning is nice and smells great. I let it sit in the stock and then make the sauce seperate later, not everyone likes them really saucy, and dipping a little is healthier than covering them.
