I am guaranteed an Inaugual ticket. What should I wear?

Yes, I have BIG connections. I think I know what I am going to wear already, but I thought I would ask what you think I should wear?

  • I'd get a taylored, attractive but not too flashy designer dress or suit. I'm not sure what you have to spend or where you live but I like Lord and Taylor for these things. You can also check them out onlilne. I'd also make sure you accessorize well with matching designer shoes, purse and costume jewlery (real or good quality faux pearls are great). You can also get those at Lord and Taylor. In terms of color, I'd stay away from flashy prints. Basic black or this years power red are really a good choice.

If you don't have allot to spend, I'd check local congisnment stores. I find these stores have a wealth of these type of "worn once only" designer items. Nobody will even guess you bought them "previously owned" and you will look like a million!

If you have long hair, get a professional updo.

  • Well, like I said, I was bought a nice evening gown and such, but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. Designer wise and all.

  • Umm, isn't this is more for the "shopping", and "beauty and style" section and perhaps NOT the Political and Current Events?? Or were you looking for the RNC, DNC, or some political affiliation to pick up your tab... lol...

  • Who cares who she knows, where she put the question or why she asked it.

Why can't people just give their opinion on what she might wear to an event like this?

    geesh

  • Then why couldn't she just ask "I think I know what I am going to wear already, but I thought I would ask what you think I should wear?" instead of saying "Yes, I have BIG connections" Ask them I'm sure they know more than any of us what she should wear.

  • I agree saying "Yes, I have BIG connections" may have come across as a tad boastful but it may have been meant in a joking manner.

I still don't see what the big deal is. We all say the "wrong" thing once in a while.
