What is the difference?

What is the difference b/n an egg and a piece of chicken? I know that the consistancy is diff but its still a baby chicken. It still a "form" of meat. Why for vegans and vegetarians is there a difference?

Not bashing. Just curious! TIA!!

  • It's not a baby chicken. It's not fertilized.

  • I believe it is because you do not have to kill the chicken to eat the egg.
