How long are you suppose to wait after giving birth to take a shower?

  • I don't remember waiting at all. Why would you need to wait?

  • Normally you can the same day unless there are complications or the doctor advices you not to. I took a shower the day after my c-section.

  • i took mine the next day, when i had permission to walk. I had an epidural so i was "bed bound" till the next morning.

  • There is no wait. It's only recommended that you wait to take a bath or get in hot tub, basically sit in water.

  • I didn't have to wait. All I had in the hospital room was a shower. I think it was the next day.

  • One of the best showers of my life take place after I have each of my little ones. Usually with in the hour!

  • ok thanks just wondering because i had my son on the 31st and i just came home last nite but i had to get stiches so i been doin the sitz baths and this is my first so i wasnt sure!!!
