allergies or cold?

My 3 month old daughter has congestion and a cough. She wakes up unable to breathe well, and then feels better a few days later. This is a frequently reoccurring cycle. Is it consistant allergies or is she catching a million colds?

  • I was talking about "seasonal" allergies...not food allergies. Here's a link!,,3q6j,00.html

  • I've read AND heard doctor's say that babies don't have allergies until after their first year of life...something about being exposed to every season first?

There are thousands of strains of colds so it could very well be just that.

  • It could just be allergens in the air. Pet dander, hair, dust, dirty heating vents or a too warm a room can cause the coughing and chest congestion. And if babied couldnt get allergies BEFORE a year, then how do you explaine kids being born with food allergies? or allergies to milk or peanuts or soap? Try putting a humidifyer in her room to help keep the air moist.
