braxton hichs?

i am only 23 weeks and 4 days, and i have had some issues already with my pregnancy. well last night i woke up feeling really bad pains in my stomach.. well my doc told me to go to the ER. when i got there they told me was having braxton hichs.. should i be worried about going into labor early because of having them already? or should i be fine? anyone else had BH early on and if so, did you deliver early?

  • You actually start having them around 6 weeks, you just can't feel them until later on. I did deliever early, but it had nothing to do with Braxton Hicks. Those things hurt though, don't they?

  • I had BH with both of my girls. I haven't had them yet with this pregnancy, I am 14 weeks. I delivered 8 days early with my first and 8 days late with my second. BH doesn't determine weather you deliver early or not. BH is just your body getting ready for the real thing.
