Does anyone make Plastic Canvas crafts or is it a lost art.

  • my grandmother does and I also thought it was silly.... until I had my son, she make some really cute things.... books, hangers, wall hangings, blocks

  • I don't think many people make it anymore, but I use it to teach a variety of stitches with our art group and the kids really enjoy it.

  • san78 it's a sheet of plastic about 10'x13' and it has little holes through it and u use yarn to fill in the pattern u r doing. You have to cut it to size for your pattern. It was real popular in the 80's and 90's but, it's still out there. You can make tissue box covers, Little houses,fridge magnets,placemats,coasters,etc. I made a doll once that was about 2 feet tall and I thought it was adorable. Google plastic canvas and u can find sites to see what I'm talking about. Thks.
